National Integrated Vehicle Management and Inspection System Development

Contents

Duration Participants Objectives	• To review and observe Integrated Land Transportation Development and Management of Korea and Vehicle Inspection and Management System • To introduce Standard Model for establishment of "Green Smart City through vehicle inspection and management responsible for Climate Change and improvement of atmospheric environment • To transfer advanced technology on vehicle inspection, management, information system, operation and supporting system, and policy development for increasing capacity in the field of transportation management of recipient countries • To explore future collaboration and resource mobilization on vehicle inspection and management system among Korea, participating countries and partners • To build capacity of automotive-related personnel in the fields of vehicle management system, vehicle technical regulation development, intranational harmonization, and new car assessment program.
Contents	• Lectures and Practices - vehicle management system(sales, Transaction, maintenance, scrapping & recycling) - vehicle management policy in Korea(self-certification, Modification of structure and device, illegal structure ) - Introduction of Transportation infrastructure and management system of Korea - Introduction of Korea Transportation Safety Authority - Establishment of Vehicle Inspection and Management System Development - Operation of Vehicle Information Management System (VIMS) in Korea - Integrated Vehicle Inspection and Standard Service - Vehicle Emission Inspection Management in Operation - Strategic Approaches for Transportation Management on Climate Change - Vehicle Inspection Standard Model Development - Inspection System for Future Advanced Vehicle and Environmentally Friendly Automobile Development (Plan on Vehicle Inspection and Management System applicable to the philippines after the training) - Management system and policy of vehicle safety - Vehicle Certification system and safety regulations - Vehicle self-Certification system and recall system - Korean New Car Assessment Program(KNCAP) - Intranational harmonization and cooperation - Environmentally friendly vehicles development and safety assessment technology - Two-wheeled automobile safety management • Observation and Field Trip - Visit to Vehicle Inspection Center - Visit to Safe Driving Training Center - Visit to Korea Automobile Testing and Research Institute - Experience of environmentally fiendly hybrid and electronic vehicles • Road Transportation Safety management for Vehicle Registration & Inspection - Driving psychological aptitude test for commercial drivers - Road safety audit skill, Safety Audit Program in Korea, Traffic Safety information management complex system - CNG Fuel vehicle inspection and alternative fuel technology - Echo-drive & basic information for driver’s safety
Qualifications of Applicants	• Be preferably Director and Managerial-level Officers engaged in the field of Transportation Policy Development, Transportation Infrastructure and Transportation Information System, and Vehicle Management and Inspection, vehicle technical regulation development • personnel with college degrees or equivalent • Have a sufficient command of both spoken and written English
