
The Collision Test Lab assesses and analyzes the degree to which a passenger is injured or moved, the collision nature of vehicles, fuel leakage, and the damage to a vehicle during a collision by reproducing an accident in the methods designated in relevant laws and regulations and our lab is also equipped with test facilities for the research and development of various safety parts and vehicles.

The Impact Test Lab researches and assesses the efficacy of various safety devices such as seat belts, air bags and seats, as well as the safety of the car body including side doors, roof and bumpers during a collision. Currently, our lab participates in the development of pedestrian-friendly hightech safety vehicles, the development of a next-generation hightech intelligent air bag, the engineering and test assessment for building a train collision test and the development of senior-friendly safety improvement technologies assigned by the Government. Our lab is equipped with internal impact test devices to assess shock absorption of the instrument panel, steering system, seat back and room mirror, body test devices to assess body strength safety of the seat belt attachment device, seats, side doors and roof, collision simulators to assess dynamic performance of seat belts, seats and door locks, bumper testing devices, single item test devices to evaluate the safety of single items such as seats and door lock and pedestrian damage assessment devices to access safety of pedestrian protection, which has recently been developed.

The Wave Test Lab is equipped with test facilities for the electromagnetic wave tolerance test (EMS), which assesses whether or not various electronic devices in a vehicle are protected from external waves that may cause interruption or malfunctions, and for electromagnetic wave radiation test(EMI), which assesses the degree of interruption that vehicle electromagnetic waves affect the electronic or telecommunication devices of other vehicles.

Lighting test lab. is equipped with facilities to measure and assess photometric performances of
vehicle lighting and general lighting devices such as headlamps, stop lamp, reflective
materials and so on.
Visibility test lab. Is a facility to measure direct/indirect and forward vision of driver. It is possible to check
whether the chassis or other parts interface with the driver’s vision and to measure specification of vehicles

The Environment Test Lab assesses how a vehicle adapts to external environment such as temperature, humidity, rain and wind. Especially, our lab provides tests on visibility recovery devices (windshield wiper, frost/mist remover, cleaner injector) and recovery capability of acceleration control devices to secure vehicle safety, equipped with high/low temperature chambers and conducting relevant tests.

The Emissions Test Lab measures the exhaust emissions and the fuel consumption rate of vehicles. Our lab conducts tests in accordance with the EAP and CARB emissions regulation standards from the USA, Japan and Europe as well as domestic regulation standards. In addition to vehicles, our lab is equipped with comprehensive test facilities to assess the performance of various parts and additives.
